Production Support Employee

As Production Support Officer, in the role of DCO (Direct Chief Receiving) you will be responsible for supporting the continuous shift organization by acting as the receiving party (customer) of the work to be performed at the plant at that time.
As a delegate of the Measurement Room Operator, you will sign and release permits to the CO (Receiving Chief).
As the first point of contact, you answer questions, register and accompany guests/visitors throughout the plant.
Furthermore, as Production Support Employee you are responsible for providing (or having provided) Plant Instruction to new visitors to the plant.
You have to randomly check the validity of the Gate/Plant Instruction of persons who are going to perform activities on the Plant and report hierarchically to the Operations Manager and functionally to the Measurement Room Operator.

Your duties

• You will provide an ongoing reception role for IAZI, which means answering visitors’ questions and guiding them around the plant with the goal of providing customer-friendly and professional reception and guidance to third parties who are unfamiliar with the organization.
• You ensure that all conditions from Operations are met to be able to start and execute the activities safely and on time.
  For this it is necessary that you have knowledge of the provided current weekly and especially daily planning regarding work to be performed and that you monitor the progress and realization.
  In case of deviations you make sure that appropriate measures are taken.
• You will be responsible for proper recording of work in progress on the plant.
• During the day, you are aware of the current operating situation in relation to the planned work.
  In doing so, it is important that you assess potential risks and specific hazards and take appropriate measures in a timely manner.
• You take/have knowledge of the safety analyses (sample list) and you take – according to the applicable guidelines – the necessary safety measures.
• You will direct Fire/Safety Watch to take initial and follow-up samples, and file the results.
• You check permits for accuracy and validity.
• In consultation with the Outside Operator and/or Safety Supervisor, arrange for escorting the mechanic(s) to the work site and sign for release on site.
• You discuss (potentially) risky/ abnormal situations, arising during the execution of the work, with the shift on duty and you take additional measures, if necessary, or have them taken.
• You will run control rounds and do workplace inspections across the plant and supervise various work activities taking place.
