As a (Senior) Asset Engineer, you will be instrumental in implementing, monitoring, and evaluating maintenance policies. You will be jointly responsible for maintaining a balance between performance, costs, and risks throughout the asset life cycle. With your broad technical expertise, you will handle issues ranging from faults and scope determination to change management, acting as the critical link between plant operations, processes, and
engineering.
Key responsibilities
- Maintenance Planning: Develop, implement, and validate preventive maintenance plans aligned with the Asset Management Plan.
- Performance Optimization: Analyze and continuously improve asset performance and the preventive maintenance system to meet established goals.
- Data & Documentation Management: Maintain accurate maintenance master data in SAP and ensure documentation is up-to-date.
- Scoping & Technical Support: Provide technical input for maintenance activities, projects, and turnaround events.
- Collaborative Improvement: Partner with the service team to build an optimal maintenance organization, always looking for ways to improve processes.
- Expertise Collaboration: Work closely with Reliability and Discipline Engineers on specialized topics, processes, and issue resolution.
- Leadership & Communication: Clearly articulate expectations, monitor outcomes, and take ownership to prioritize effectively.
- Problem Solving: Quickly and efficiently resolve technical issues for critical assets.
- Budget Management: Oversee the annual maintenance budget, set targets, and track performance through KPIs.

Qualifications
- A completed HBO-technical degree (preferably in WTB or E/I) or equivalent demonstrated through work experience and assessment.
- Strong analytical skills with a knack for identifying and solving root problems.
- Knowledge of Asset Management/ISO 55000 (preferred).
- Familiarity with ERP systems like SAP and advanced proficiency in Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of the organization. In addition to proficiency in English and German.
- VCA-VOL certification (required for permit signing and related responsibilities).
