The story of
Harry Simon
How did you end up at Circle Infra Partners?
My career at the Chemelot site began in 1986, and since then I have always been involved with the site’s infrastructure. As of March 2023, I am working as Maintenance Manager at Circle Infra Partners, where I am responsible for ensuring the performance of the Infra Assets at Chemelot. This includes roads, sewers, rail tracks, lighting, greenery, the harbor quay and much more.
What is typical about Circle as an employer?
Circle Infra Partners is a relatively small company, but as Asset Owner it plays a very important role on the Chemelot site to ensure a safe and available infrastructure. After all, this enables the plants on the site to perform optimally without disruption.
What do you enjoy most about working at Circle?
The dynamics and responsibility my role brings. Working in a small, expert team means that we move quickly and work closely together to ensure the performance of our Infra Assets. The lines of communication are short and cooperation within the team runs smoothly as a result. When a problem arises, everyone on the team helps each other solve it. No day here is the same, and that’s what makes working here so fascinating.
What are your personal ambitions?
In 2025, I will reach the milestone of 60 years. My ambition in the coming years is to further develop and strengthen the Infra Assets and the associated processes, so that my successors can further optimize the assets for a future-proof Chemelot site.
What is your message for future employees?
Join our Infra Assets team to get to work on the dynamic challenges at the Chemelot site. We work in a close-knit team on innovative and challenging projects, and what’s more, at Circle Infra Partners you’ll get the chance to develop yourself both personally and professionally. Not to mention, we work in a nice office environment, and the coffee here is top notch!
