Circle Infra Partners officially signs the agreement with Movares and project partners Hima, Equans, DB Cargo and Haskoning for the realization of the Osaka project. This project will replace the existing rail guidance and control system at Chemelot and marks an important step towards a safe and future-proof rail infrastructure at Chemelot. The signing ceremony focused on the celebration of this milestone, showing how innovation and cooperation are preparing Chemelot for the future.
What does the Osaka project stand for?
The Osaka project focuses on the renewal of the rail infrastructure on the Chemelot site. The existing system of points, signals and crossings will be replaced by a completely new system, designed by Movares and developed according to the highest safety requirements in the industry. The new system is future-proof, low-maintenance and attuned to the rapidly developing technologies in the rail infrastructure.
Safety and reliability are central to all elements of design and implementation. The project aims for the new system to at least meet and where possible exceed current high standards over the current system. Circle Infra Partners leverages its safety, environmental and infrastructure expertise to support the industry in operating safely, efficiently and sustainably.
Strong cooperation
Technology and innovation are developing at lightning speed. With that, the Osaka project involves several reliable and knowledgeable parties who know Chemelot and its ecosystem inside out and their ability to deliver a high-quality rail infrastructure project within time, budget and safety standards.
Movares provides the design and implementation of the new rail guidance and control system for which Hima supplies the systems and components and Equans provides the installation. DB Cargo supports the operation from the control room and Haskoning manages both the current and the new system. Together they ensure a safe, reliable and future-proof rail network at Chemelot, led by Circle Infra Partners as owner.
