The companies on the Chemelot site take in surface water and also discharge wastewater. Circle Waste Water Services treats wastewater from all plants at Chemelot, complying with strict Dutch and European legislation.
The construction of these collection tanks marks an important milestone in the OASE project. With the installation of the roofs, the highest point has been reached, bringing a step closer to more effective water treatment at Chemelot.

Thanks to the efforts of many professionals and partners, Street 6100 was thoroughly cleaned, maintained and safely restarted.
The Turnaround (TA) at the Integrated Wastewater Treatment Plant (IAZI) has been in full swing for several weeks. The first phase, consisting of emptying and cleaning, has been successfully and safely completed. The maintenance phase has now begun.
Recently, Circle Wastewater Services began a Turnaround (TA) of the Integrated Wastewater Treatment Plant, also known as the “IAZI. This biological treatment plant treats process water from more than 60 different plants at Chemelot.
The OASE project marks a major step towards more sustainable and efficient water management at Chemelot. Geleen, July 11, 2024 – Circle Wastewater Services B.V. (Circle), as permit holder, is satisfied with the recent ruling of the Limburg District Court in connection with the lawsuit against decisions of the Limburg Water Board. The case was brought because of some unworkable regulations in its permit.
